What You Should Do When You Are Planning To Quit Smoking

  Making the decision to quit smoking is only part of the process of actually following through on the decision. When you decide to quit smoking you are making the decision to take back control of your life. You no longer want cigarettes to guide your daily activities, you no longer want to allow cigarettes to affect your body negatively, and you are tired of letting the addiction rule over you in many different personal ways.


The nicotine in cigarettes is habit forming and has the ability to wreak havoc on smokers' senses. The nicotine is addictive and the smoker feels like they must have that nicotine. Their body sends signals to the brain to smoke more cigarettes. This is when a smoker is still smoking normally. When a smoker is actually in the process of quitting, these signals are usually much stronger.

To quit smoking successfully requires a well thought out plan. The time to quit smoking is always 'now' but not literally. To decide to just stop without thinking through and going through some options is like setting yourself up to fail.
